How much more expensive is it to compute a scene with an additional bounce? Is there a way to mathematically figure out a threshold where another level of bounce doesn't significantly improve the scenes rendering?

I believe this is for demonstration purposes only; since repeated bouncing converges, we compute the closed form 1IK\frac{1}{I-K} instead
