I'm curious how lambda is calculated and what determines the RBG conversion. Also in relation to the color illusion from the last page, do the values change based on the illusion of color of does the computer ignore the conversion and can easily get the values?

TLDR: it involves a look up table whose entries are determined by observing an average human observer's response to different wavelengths
