The nuance in the lighting of this rendering is incredible. The fact that you can tell the time of day from how the tiling reflects the sunlight is particularly astonishing, especially considering that it's possible to simulate other times of day as well. It seems like the math behind any amount of rendering would have to be incredibly complex to consider all of the different variables at play. I'm looking forward to breaking it down in class and potentially learning how to make it happen!
