I wanted to bring up another form of aberration called chromatic aberration. Spherical aberration happens because spheres are not perfect for focusing light. Like shown on the slide, light rays farther from the optical axis of the lens get bent more than ones closer to the center. Chromatic aberration, on the other hand, happens because certain wavelengths of light get bent more than others. This causes light to separate into a spectrum (which is why we can see rainbows).
