It's always very interesting to me to learn more about history through drawings that our ancestors have drawn on paper or carved into rocks in a cave. I wonder if there's a source of inspiration that most of these people followed that led them to depicting the images or even if there's a part in our brain/psychology that entertains the idea of animating images

Its really interesting how early animations can both tell us a lot about the culture of people and how they lived, but also the extent of technology back in the day and how they tried to mimick human motion.

One thing that strikes me as interesting about this is that it's almost identical to frame-by-frame drawings that animators did (and still do to some extent) for things like movies or cartoons. For example, I watched a video of a Disney animator (in the old days of 2d animated disney movies) where the process was essentially this, except with different tools. Crazy!
