I've seen this illusion on a NatGeo show called Brain Games. Really fascinating stuff! I'm curious why we are learning this. Do graphics ppl need to keep these effects in mind when creating stuff.

I recall learning about how we experience "cone fatigue" in AP biology class! This is when our cones that detect a color get tired from seeing a color that when we stare at a blank screen, the cones that detect the complementary color are completely free and we would see the complementary colors. It's really fascinating to see how biology is tied to these concepts in computer graphics
