I'm curious, how would the double slit experiment look like with a monochromator in this same setup but the second slit being the double slit experiment instead...

Normally, a light source illuminates a barrier with two parallel slits, and the light passing through these slits interferes on a screen behind the barrier, creating a pattern of bright and dark fringes due to constructive and destructive interference.
