How were the matches of the colors confirmed? I imagine one way is to just "eyeball" if the left and right sides seem close enough to each other, but that does not seem rigourous and satisfactory enough. Given that was there some sort of measurement taken on both the test light side and the primarily light side to confirm that both sides were equal to a satisfiable degree?
