As mentioned in the next slide, the Apple Vision Pro exemplifies the material written in this slide. Importantly, we see that in practice that there are multiple different types of sensors that are inwardly sensing. For example, instead of just cameras that point inward, we see a wide array of sensors that capture the aperture of our eye, direction, temperature, and fit. Modern technology aims to capture many data points in order to provide a realistic experience for the user.

The slide mentions the use of inward-facing cameras for detecting facial expressions for telepresence applications in VR. How do these cameras differentiate between involuntary facial movements and intentional expressions, and how might this technology be calibrated to ensure accurate and reliable input for user interfaces within the VR environment?
