What does the spatial domain mean conceptually? And why do we want to convert between the frequency domain and spatial domain?

ShonenMind

Hello! I believe the spatial domain refers to the image without any major modifications to its pixels. Converting from the spatial domain to the frequency domain, and vice-versa is crucial for enhancing our original image in the spatial domain, because we can take our original image, convert it to a graph of different frequencies (spatial -> frequency), perform some manipulation with these exposed frequencies to get rid of any harsh pixels, and then convert these newly modified frequencies back to a normal but modified from the original- image (frequency -> spatial).
