Something that I found interesting in this rendering was that the viscosity and adhesion of the liquid in the mugs is apparent; the substance is smeared near the rim of the cups, and the liquid has opaque peaks giving the impression that it is very thick.

Something that stood out to me when I saw this image was the essentially white/highly reflective tea in the top right of the rendering, which immediately made me think of this video I'd seen some time back (https://www.youtube.com/watch/AnCJ4x_4V18) which speaks of something called Fresnel (or maybe Fresnel reflection), where things from more flat angles tend to have stronger reflections. Having watched the entire lecture, does this relate to the specular shading/highlights, or is this something slightly different?
