Control points in Bezier curves seem to be a similar concept to the derivatives in cubic Hermite curves, since they define, among other things, the slope at the point in which the curve meets the points. However it's different in that it also defines a magnitude for that slope. I wonder if you could define all cubic Hermite curves as a special case of Bezier curves.

What are some of the applications of Bezier curves outside of rendering. I saw someone use a bezier curve to model a wind force on the cloth and found that super interesting.
