I think it's really cool how Bézier curves can be applied to surfaces as we see from these two images and be able to illustrate different curvatures relatively well, but are there any potential issues or types of surfaces that they cannot readily capture?

When rendering moving surfaces, do we simply have a matrix of all these different control points that change one by one and at each iteration the renderer is re-calculating all of these curves and surfaces?
