Lecture 14: Material Modeling (51)

Not sure if this was mentioned in lecture but the technology behind this game is Nvidia's Hairworks, which is similar to AMD's open source TressFX that was first used in Tomb Raider! This demo was crazy to watch way back.


In realtime graphics like this, is the rendering pipeline fundamentally different or are GPUs just getting that good? Because this looks as good as any of our renders but would have to happen at much greater rate.
