I'm just curious if the Navier Stokes equations end up being relevant for modeling liquids? I know they are relevant in fluid dynamics but I was wondering how exactly they are used for graphics simulations, because I think I read somewhere that calculating solutions of those equations can be extremely computationally expensive.
