It's interesting to learn about how the dinosaurs in Jurassic park are created virtually by computers, compared to in the earlier days when animations are done with stop motions, where producers had to move physical characters frame by frame with a green screen. Computer graphics play an indispensable role in the entertainment field and in many other areas. I look forward to learn more about how such graphics are produced as the course progresses.

@joyyy26 On that note though, I also recall seeing a video which showed how the animators still used this little dinosaur-shaped input rig in order to basically do "motion capture" with a stop motion model (since that's what many of the animators on the team specialized in?). That way, they could have the energy of a high quality stop-motion creature, but with the visual quality of computer generated graphics. It was really insightful and - at least in my mind - just shows how even with advanced rendering tech, there's still a level of artistry derived from the "old" ways of doing things that's necessary to achieve a product of this quality.
