when you compare the sixteen-bounce global illumination to the eight-bounce global illumination on the previous slide, it is evident that the rendered images look similar which indicates that neumann series pretty much converges, and the global illumination rendering in terms of light bounces is basically complete

I find it very fascinating to flip through these images, and to see the various crevaces of the scenery that get just the slightest bit more lit as the number of bounces increases. In particular, keep an eye on the painting behind point p — very cool!
