I'm a little confused about the setup here. Why does the camera need to be placed so much farther back for this photo with a longer focal length? Shouldn't it be possible to get this background blurring effect without needing to stand so far back? Based on the diagram in this slide / what was mentioned in lecture, I think we're saying that this is required if we want the subject to take up the same proportion of the picture in both versions. Is this correct or am I misunderstanding something?
