Lecture 16: Intro to Animation (36)

This part was really interesting to me — particularly the part about how even non-living things should be imbued with character, and that each character should move in a different way. I've tried making very basic frame-by-frame animations before (it was for a high school class where we didn't really have any guidance), and even just getting a person to walk for a few seconds took me several hours. I hadn't even thought about animating things in the background, or what "personality" each of the objects should convey. This definitely helped me appreciate animation more — I think these are things that we wouldn't normally think about if we were asked to make an animation ourselves, but would make a difference that we could easily notice when comparing amateur vs. professional animations.
