Even after seeing countless videos on the subject (most notably this one by the old school channel Vsauce), it still amazes me that we're able to "hack" our brains so easily with trickery like this. Even without actually emitting light at the frequency of colors other than red, green, and blue, we're still able to fool ourselves into thinking that there are other colors there, simply because of the receptors that our eyes happen to have. I don't think that technology would be particularly different if our eyes were wired to pick up some other colors, but I do think that it's an interesting example of technology being subtly but nonetheless fully dependent on our weird biology.
