At one edge point, if the control points at two sides are in a line, the curve will be C1 continuous(smooth).
So in some software such as Illustrator, the default control points are lines.
But if we want to make some sharp vertices, we can manually drag the control point.
But for slides(PowerPoint), its curve has no control points, maybe implemented by some default tangents, so it is very hard to control the shape of that curve.
