The textbook interestingly notes "A common radiometric quantity not described in this chapter is radiant intensity (I), which is the spectral power per steradian emitted from an infinitesimal point source. It should usually be avoided in graphics programs because point sources cause implementation problems (p 529)". How will we use radiant intensity in this class?
