It's interesting to see how there is so much improvement going from one bounce to two bounces. However, how computationally expensive is it and what is the threshold for bounces usually like for industry standards?

Similarly, this is very similar to the ideas behind taylor series expansion, which makes sense considering the solution to the rendering equations.

I actually don't see such a huge difference going from one to two so that does bring up an important point in graphics and its subjectivity. Some may easily prefer the fewer computations I suppose.
