The latest iteration of PSVR and meta quest pro has technology that tracks where our eyes focus on the screen. This allows the renderer to super-sample where the eye focuses and sub-sample the others(which our eyes are indifferent to). Reaching an insane level of visual acuity without insane level of horsepower. Yet another elegant workaround.

I wonder if VR technology would be beneficial in any way in optometry. I could definitely see a future where VR would be used in eye exams.
