Is it possible that one day we can see more colors as human? Would a glasses be possible for us to intake a larger spectrum of colors? Or actually because we are born with the eyes so long a time, that actually it is our brain that also cannot take in new colors?

Is this what the whole deal with High Dynamic Range (HDR) displays are, the fact that they have a larger color gamut than standard displays? I have heard them on numerous occasions being advertised as having more vibrant colors, so I am guessing that translates to a larger area on this diagram. Another question is then, how do displays achieve a larger color gamut? Is it just the fact that they support a larger range of RGB values?
