Are there ways to determine which solution is preferable or optimal? I'd imagine there may be heuristics could be used to make the resulting movement as realistic as possible, or optimize for certain factors depending on the use-case. This may be part of the system itself, but constraining the rotational freedom of joints could prevent certain unnatural movements. There are other factors, such as favoring movement of certain joints (shoulder vs elbow vs wrist) that could also be used to determine which solution is preferable.

Is there a way we can just choose the average position or end solution? Are there methods or heuristics to determine the best position so that something is chosen rather than nothing?
