I never quite understood the part about how everything simplifies to 4D, but I had an aha moment during the exam when I realized that a light can be defined by a ray/line that passes through 2 points on two planes. I think its a pretty cool to realize how useful/powerful it is the capture a 4D light field.

I understand that light is constant along the ray so we potentially eliminate the z direction. But what about blocking / glass?
