Since computer graphics weren't a thing back in 1968, I wonder what caused people to look back at this technique and think about applying it to rendering and computer graphics today in the form of ray tracing. It's interesting to see the evolution of this idea of casting a ray onto a pixel, and how it's morphed over time to become adjusted to modern day technology.
