Why is the top left circle so clear compared to the other ones? (the circle next to the blurry group of 3 or 4 circles)

@elliot1019 My guess is that it's the intersection of several different circles of confusion. Perhaps there's a concentration of several Christmas tree lights in that corner.

The size of the circle depends on the distance from the focal plane. An interesting thing to note is that this effect does not just effect light sources, even though these are certainly the most prominent. Even dark parts of the image at the same depth are 'spread' the same way that light is; this is why the image appears the most blurry in the bottom left corner.
