One thing that took a while for me to realize. The reason why red and green can combine to yellow (despite being light composed of two different wavelengths) is because they cause the same stimulation in the M and L cones as pure yellow light (of a single wavelength). https://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/425649/how-does-light-combine-to-make-new-colours
