I find the HDR is really interesting. It would "compress" multiple images together to get a better image. Actually there are multiple algorithms for HDR. The website here used openCV to show the differences among these algorithms.

I think this strategy also applies to the multi-camera array now. Most of the phone have 2 cameras for better quality of the photo. And there are more and more phones have more than 2 cameras.
