The image on the right was made by downsampling the image 4x, (took 1 2x2 pixel and put it in the image in the right to simulate 25% fill factor)

This website gives some possible ways to avoid moire effects with photography: https://photographylife.com/how-to-avoid-moire . Minimizing the moire effects in the image you take means that you don't have to do as much post processing to remove the aliasing, and can achieve a more accurate image off the bat.

Does use of HDR affect effects like moire? I'd imagine that pixel mosiacking would increase it because its lower res by construction, but not so certain about HDR by stitching together multiple images--would that possibly decrease moire?
