Lecture 7: Geometry And Splines (19)
peterqiu1997

This link (https://learn.scannerlicker.net/2014/04/16/bezier-curves-and-type-design-a-tutorial/) discusses the qualities, pros, and cons of different types of bezier curves in fonts. Some takeaways (not sure if they always apply): cubic curves win w/ regards to file size because they use less anchor points, cubic curves also have more drawing freedom, but they demand far more (triple) the processing power.

If you want to be able to create Bezier splines of your own, visually, for your own vector graphics, you can use the free and open source program Inkscape or maybe the more common Adobe Illustrator. We can actually get Illustrator for free as Berkeley students.
