Lecture 18: Physical Simulation (3)
tyleryath

One of the authors of this paper gave a talk on it at SIGGRAPH 2013, he discusses the overall method and goes into some implementation details towards the end. Definitely worth watching! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmXAzGKavYk

I think a very good point mentioned in the lecture was that even though we hope to simulate physics as accurately as possible, given the model complexity and cost issue, sometimes it's also necessary that we ignore certain aspects in physics when we simulate if they don't matter too much to the motions, at least in a visual sense.
