I was curious about the factors that make display colors device-dependent. Here's some interesting info about gammas: https://www.colormatters.com/the-power-of-gamma - basically they're a kind of measurement that describes the relationship between the voltage input and the brightness of the display image, as far as I can tell. A "corrected" gamma looks more realistic
