I assume the cameras are out of the scene, and we are calculating the position offset of the markers on the headset from these cameras? I am still confused on how the 3D rotation of the headset can be figured out.

How can we add stability and reduce errors in our sensor readings that all these calculations are based on? What additional sensors might we use to improve the quality of our pose + roll/pitch/yaw movement readings?
