Take care to include enough frames that it also doesn't look choppy! With something light, to convey that it was a very light object wouldn't it be pretty hard since it would accelerate faster?

Do collisions fall under this principle of animation? For instance, the deceleration caused by the ball hitting the wall in picture a seems like it would be crucial for the same reason it's acceleration would be.

Timing definitely plays a role in collision, but I feel like it isn't really categorizable into just one principle--it involves anticipation, follow through, secondary action, among others. In general, most animations would require a blend of these principles to be truly convincing.
