I'm curious if it is possible to instead first calculate a general "shape" (aka spots that are extremely bright) so that we can focus the texture only on the boundaries, especially since so many particles at the middle of the bright spot doesn't seem to make too much sense as viewers would not really notice it in a game or movie, etc.

@wvshelu Wouldn't be more costly to dynamically map, if I'm understanding your curiosity correctly? At least that would be my assumption, as the lecture had this image being rotated so the mapping of the bright reflections changed as the POV changed.
