What is the reason that BSSRDF blurs out the details? Maybe because of the virtual light, the shadows are gone?

I think you're right -- I feel like the BSSRDF is "blurring / smoothing the rougher details" because of how it changes the movement of light, hence reducing the harsh shadows (that would typically define the "rougher details" more)
